Chamber of Commerce & Mayor Launch Help for Local Rye Businesses

On Monday the Rye Chamber of Commerce will launch a new initiative, in collaboration with Mayor Josh Cohn’s new Committee to aid Rye Businesses, called Rye’s Up.

The Rye Chamber of Commerce is asking residents to “rise up” and support local businesses in the community. While residents cannot shop downtown currently (due to the non-essential business shut down in response to COVID-19), Rye’s Up is an opportunity to shop and back these local businesses via the chamber’s web site. The organization is also asking residents to tag relevant social posts with hashtag #ryesup10580.

The chamber’s announcement asked for help: “Through supporting local Rye commerce with Rye’s Up, the Rye community can keep its reputable, distinctive charm and overarching identity as an ideal place to live, raise a family, and belong.”
