Police Review Committee Public Listening Session Thursday, 6pm
The City of Rye’s Police Review Committee will be holding its first “Public Listening Session” this Thursday, 6-8pm via Zoom.
The purpose of the session is to collect public feedback, views, and opinions about the City of Rye Police Department. Registration is required and all are encouraged to attend and contribute.

Background:
Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 203 instructs all local government entities in New York State with operating police agencies to perform a comprehensive review of current police force deployments, strategies, policies, procedures and practices and develop a plan to improve the same in order to best serve its communities.
Pursuant to this Order, Mayor Josh Cohn created the City of Rye Police Review Committee, composed of the members listed here. The committee aims to address the particular needs of Rye and promote community engagement while fostering trust, fairness, and legitimacy.
