In Memory: Richard “Dick” Pinkham Jr., Age 79

Obituary - Richard Dick Pinkham Jr.Richard “Dick” Pinkham Jr. passed away peacefully on October 19th, just two days after celebrating his 54th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Anne.
Born on May 24, 1945, to Richard A.R. Pinkham and Mary “Bunnie” Struthers Pinkham, Dick was a lifelong resident of Rye, NY. He attended Rye Country Day School, spent his summers sailing at the American Yacht Club, and enjoyed golfing at the Apawamis Club.
A graduate of the University of Denver, Dick embarked on a distinguished career in sports marketing, serving in leadership roles with major companies such as ABC, CBS, 21st Century Marketing, IMG and ISC.
The cornerstone of his life was his wife, Anne, whom he married in 1970. Together, they built a loving home in Rye, where they raised their three children: Laurie (George), Ricky (Kim), and Mary (James). All three attended Rye Country Day School, where Dick also contributed his time as a member of the Board of Trustees.
Dick’s greatest joy was his family, especially his nine grandchildren: Charlotte, George, Reece, Maggie, Connor, Graham, Brennan, JP, and Lulu. He will also be deeply missed by his brother, David (Deborah); his sisters, Penny Janeway and Betty Anderson (Alan); and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be Monday, October 21, 2024 from 4:00-7:00PM at Graham Funeral Home in Rye, NY. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00AM at Resurrection Church on Tuesday, October 22nd.
