The Rye FD’s Local 2029 union raised $8,472 during its annual boot drive along Purchase Street in downtown Rye on Saturday, December 7, 2024. The boot drive started in the wake of 9-11 and is an annual tradition. You can still donate.
Next up is the group’s annual Candy Cane Run this coming Sunday, December 15th. They will be shuttling Santa around town between 4:00pm and 6:00pm, with the following schedule:
1. MILTON SCHOOL from 4pm-4:10pm
2. RYE REC from 4:15pm-4:25pm
3. HIGHLAND HALL from 4:30pm-4:40pm
4. OSBORN SCHOOL from 4:50pm-5pm
5. JOHN JAY PL from 5:05pm-5:15pm
6. RYE TOWN PARK from 5:25pm-6pm
The group will also have its annual fundraiser this spring on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Harrison Meadows Country Club. Tickets for the St. Patrick’s Ball will go on sale on January 16th.
