The Rye Boys Squash team snapped their losing streak with a 7-0 victory on Thursday, February 12, as they swept Masters in the regular season finale. The game was added to the schedule late to give the Garnets an extra chance to compete between their previous loss to Darien on February 4 and Nationals, which still loom just a week away.

Charlie Rodilosso returned from injury for Rye, winning his matchup in the top spot cleanly. The added boost helped solidify the rest of the lineup too, leading to the clean sweep. Garnets like Owen Karl, Harry Ellis, Nate Kim-Reuter, and Michael Talbott all earned individual victories to propel the team to their first win since January 24. The the team had previously lost four straight.

Rye (8-5) wraps up the year on a high note after a torrent start and a position around the top of the Fairwest League standings for most of the year. They will take the weekend off before beginning preparations for US High School Boys Squash Nationals from February 20-22 in Philadelphia, PA. The Garnets will compete in Division III.
