Norma Minicus, 93, passed away on March 29, 2026 with her loving family by her side. Norma was born on November 27, 1932 in Bronxville, NY to Richard and Victoria Mastrodi and was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Bob, and her sister, Irene Hartigan.Norma is survived by her four children Richard Minicus (Jennifer), Pamela Virtue (Doug), Robert Minicus Jr. (Bridgette) and Kevin Minicus (Maureen) and by her twelve grandchildren Kim (Brian), David “DJ” (Liz), Kristie (Dave), Clay (Roxanna), Tori (Shane), Colin, Andrea, Brian, John, Max, Michael and Matthew. In recent years, Norma welcomed nine great-grandchildren into her life: Kate, Jack, Tommy, James, William, Lily, Emma, Colin and Lucy. In addition, Norma is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends from Armonk, NY, Darien, CT and Jupiter, FL.
Norma graduated from Roosevelt High School in Yonkers, NY with fond memories of a close-knit group of friends that included her sister and her two cousins. There she met her future husband, Bob. They married on July 11, 1954 and spent their honeymoon and some additional time in Tripoli, North Africa where Bob was stationed as a first lieutenant and captain in the United States Air Force. They returned to build a family, first in Yonkers, NY and then in Armonk, NY where they spent the majority of their years. After raising her family, Norma worked for over three decades as an assistant court clerk for the Town of North Castle.
Family meant everything to Norma, and she and Bob spent considerable time supporting their children and grandchildren in all their endeavors. Together they attended numerous athletic events and eventually learned to tune into the streaming services to watch every game possible. Norma hosted or attended countless holiday dinners and other milestone events, often preparing meals including her signature meatballs which were loved by all generations of the family. She cherished annual family reunions on Martha’s Vineyard. In her younger years, Norma was an avid tennis player. Later in life she picked up golf, which she enjoyed with her husband and girlfriends at the Stanwich Club. She was a member of the “Ladies 9-holers” at the Jonathan’s Landing Golf Club in Jupiter, FL. Norma looked forward to her “nights out with the ladies” but most of all loved golfing with her children and played through her 93rd year!
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, April 10th at Our Lady of Sorrows, 920 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Norma to Folds of Honor.
