Rye Senior Declan Lavelle on a Sports Year Cut Short by COVID-19

Rye senior Declan Lavelle was recently interviewed by News 12 sports reporter Pete Ruf on his amazing senior year sports run being stopped short by COVID-19. The senior enjoyed a section football championship, a hockey championship and was ready to pitch for Garnet baseball before the dreaded pandemic.

Lavelle is headed to pitch for Fordam baseball next year and told Ruf he is throwing, running and working out every day.

In April Lavelle was named The Journal News/lohud Westchester/Putnam Player of the Year.
