The City has a new firefighter. Rye FD’s newest member, Daniel Archino, was sworn in Monday at City Hall by City Clerk Carolyn D’Andrea, Esq.

Rye FD Captain John McDwyer, commenting on the addition of Archino, said “Today marks another day again reminding us of the City’s commitment to keep the progression of the firehouse moving forward.”

Archino is a longtime Rye resident and a 2015 graduate of Rye High School. He attended the University at Albany, where he studied emergency preparedness and homeland security. He has worked as a personal trainer at the Rye YMCA and Rye Health and Fitness. When Archino is not working, you can find him walking his dog, Buddy, throughout Rye.
