Rye Town Park is set to launch a new summer concert series taking place in the coming weeks. Traditionally, these concerts have been a hit and a great way to get the community together while promoting local artists.

For an eight-week stretch, local bands and artists will perform in the Streetside Pavilion every Tuesday night at 7:30pm. While regular parking fees apply, there is free admission for each of the concerts.

The series includes performances from Urban Coyotes on July 11th, MOJO on July 18th, and The Bookends Band on July 25th. Shows extend into the month of August and include  Billy & The Showmen on August 1st, Scott Wenzel Big Band on August 8th, Clare Maloney and The Great Adventure on August 15th, The Buckley Manor Band on August 22nd, and Back to the Garden 1969 on August 29th.

So far this summer, live music fans have enjoyed 107.1 The Peak’s concert series at Barley Beach House. Rye Town Park’s series will give people even more opportunities to enjoy outdoor concerts. Numerous artists and bands, including Low Cut Connie, Bailen, and Josh Ritter, have taken the stage so far this summer as a part of 107.1 The Peak’s series. Even the 2012 winner of American Idol, Phillip Phillips, performed on Tuesday, June 25th.

“It was such an amazing concert,” Rye resident Charlotte Spierings said of Phillip Phillips’ show. “The music was amazing, and the venue was super cool. Hearing music on the beach was an awesome experience.”

More groups performing as part of the 107.1 The Peak’s concert series in the coming weeks include Briston Maroney on Monday, July 3rd at 7:30pm, the Overcoats on Friday, July 7th at 7:00pm, and Abraham Alexander on Tuesday, August 1st at 7:00pm.
