On Tuesday evening the Rye Town Park Commission voted unanimously to extend Free Beach Tuesdays for Residents through August 29th. The promotion was originally scheduled to end on Tuesday, August 1st.
Residents in the following zip codes are eligible for the promotion: Port Chester – 10573, Rye Brook – 10573, Rye City – 10580, Rye Neck – 10543. Proof of residency is required upon entry.
While beach fees will be waived for residents on these dates, standard parking fees will still be in effect.
in addition, on Tuesday, July 25th and Tuesday, August 1st, The Town of Rye, in conjunction with Westchester County and the City of Rye, are offering complimentary Bee Line bus service offering between Port Chester Train Station and Rye Town Beach.
“We’ve heard of numerous studies that show giving urban area residents access to green spaces can lower levels of stress, reduce depression and anxiety,” said Rye Town Supervisor Gary Zuckerman. “In particular, we’ve heard from community service organizations in our own village of Port Chester that having open, easy access to town parks would benefit the youth of the area.”
