There was a special visitor on the Dragon Coaster over the July 4th holiday. World-renowned singer and songwriter Mariah Carey came to Playland over the holiday weekend with her twin boys to relive old memories and create some new ones.
Back in 1995, Carey originally visited Playland to film her “Fantasy” music video on the boardwalk and amusement park grounds. The Huntington, NY native has come back to visit the park with her family every few years since then.
During Carey’s visit, she was very gracious, taking time to chat and take pictures with tons of Playland staff, guests, and other park personnel. She and her family had a blast on the rides, with Double Shot being one of the favorites — her twins rode it twice in a row.
