The City is ordering a mandatory evacuation for all residents of Indian Village, Highland Hall, Manursing Island, Pine Island Road and Greenhaven areas.
People needing short term shelter can go the the Rye Golf Club administration building at 330 Boston Post Road until midnight. Rye Recreation is no longer being used. You are encouraged to bring your own food, water and your own prescribed medications.
The evacuation is in effect from 6:00pm Friday until 6:00am Saturday.
Specifically these areas are under mandatory evacuation:
- All Indian Village
- All Highland Hall
- All of South Manursing Island
- All homes to include 191 Kirby Lane through the entirety of Island Drive and West Island Drive
- All homes to include 315 Breevort Lane through the entirety of Shore Road
- 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 16 Pine Island Road
