Rye Boys Varsity Football successfully staked the Panthers of Ardsley, winning at home 42 14.
“With 22 Seniors being recognized with their families on Senior Recognition Night, the Garnets continued the momentum and improvement from last week’s win against Byram Hills with a 42-14 win over the previously unbeaten Ardsley Panthers,” said Rye Boys Varsity Football Coach Dino Garr. “The coaching staff was very pleased with the total team effort shown against a formidable opponent. We’re looking forward to finishing the regular schedule next Saturday at Sleepy Hollow, as we continue to improve for the playoff run.”
After falling behind 6-0 on the opening drive for the Panthers, Rye scored 42 unanswered points with key interceptions by the defense and excellent execution by the offense, both in running and passing the ball.
