The Woman’s Club of Rye raised $3,500 at its annual fall luncheon on Thursday, October 19 at Shenorock Shore Club. The funds are used to make grants to programs supporting local families in need, senior citizens, and to provide scholarships to Rye High School students.
Each attendee contributed by purchasing a ticket for a delicious meal followed by canasta, bridge or mah-jongg games. In addition, 12 generous members of the club provided sponsorship funds for the event. Gift prizes contributed by local merchants and restaurants including Aurora, Rye Grill and Bar, Fashion Nails, Cindy’s Nails, John Christopher Salon, and R&M Woodrow Jewelers helped to make the luncheon a success.
