Rye Girls Varsity Softball made fish sticks of Gordon on Monday, putting the opponent in the deep fryer for a 15 -2 win at home.
“It was a great team effort today to get our first win of the season,” said Rye Girls Varsity Softball. “We had great pitching and timely hitting from everyone today.”

- Penelope Gilmore pitched a compete game, 1 hitter, with 1BB and 14K for the win. She was also 1 for 2 with 3Rbi 2BB 2R

- Charlotte Derman was 1 for 2 with a HP, an Rbi, and 2R
- Hana Murati was 1 for 1 with a 2BB and an Rbi
The team is now 1 – 2. Next up the Garnets host Walter Panas on Wednesday at 4:30pm.
