Eileen M. Tolve, of Rye, NY, was born into Eternal life on March 29, 2024. She was 91 years old.
Eileen was a loving and devoted Mother and Grandmother and a dear friend, kind and faithful to many who had the blessing of her friendship, and a gracious and compassionate woman to all those she came in contact with. She is survived by her loving children, Eileen, Frank, Elizabeth and two grandchildren, Jessica and Liam; her brothers James and Matthew Tolan and sister, Loretta Buckley. She is predeceased by her husband Frank of 50 years.
Eileen grew up in the Pelham Bay Area of the Bronx and attended St. Jean Baptiste school where she played basketball. She later attended The Katherine Gibbs school and worked for General Electric in NYC. Eileen met Frank through the Snowcats ski club, they married in 1963 and lived with their family on Forest Ave for 60 years. Eileen enjoyed summer days at Oakland Beach and Coveleigh Club. She was an avid tennis and paddle player, enjoyed afternoon Bridge games with her friends, Broadway shows, and actively served in Resurrection Parish.
Mass of the Christian burial will be held on Saturday April 6, 2024 at 10am at the Church of the Resurrection, Rye. Interment service at the Louis R. Tolve Mausoleum at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Chester, NY.
