The Rye Little League’s 12U Tournament All Stars are on a roll. First they marched to a convincing District 20 championship between June 28th and July 7th, outscoring their opponents a cumulative 66-8 in the process. They capped the championship with a 11-0 win in the finals over White Plains.
On July 15th, in the first game of the sectionals tournament, Rye pulled out a 9-6 win. The team was led by Charlie Rodilosso on the mound, supported by homers from Jamie Morris (2) and Paul Heintz, part of an unrelenting 11-hit attack.
The tournament continues through the weekend for the right to play for the NY State Little League Championship later this month.
