Boys Varsity Baseball Hit by New Ro Purple Wave

Rye Boys Varsity Baseball was hit by a purple wave from New Rochelle on Tuesday, falling 8-13 at home.
“New Rochelle jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after 1 inning and it was too much for the team to come back from,” said Rye Boys Varsity Baseball Mike Bruno. “The team battled all day but just fell short in the end with a come back. Credit to New Rochelle who finished with 14 hits on the day. Charlie Rupp was 2-2 with 2 doubles and a RBI.”
The Garnet season is now 5-1. Rye will host league rival Eastchester on Wednesday at 4:30pm at Disbrow Park.
