There is not a lot of popular support for Taylor Swift in the City of Rye.
The same applies to Stormy Daniels, Michael Cohn, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Mr. and Mrs. Met. They all lost Tuesday’s Board of Education trustee race. The 2024 Board of Education election winners Valerie Lapham, Callie Erickson and Matthew Schibanoff can now say they are more popular the greatest pop star, a washed up porn star and a washed up fixer, Disney and the leading couple of Queens – part of 52 people and fictional characters that lost a race they did not even know they were in.
The 52 were write-in candidates that reflect a range of emotion from Rye voters who spent time out of their day to drive to the polls to express themselves by voting for a real or fictional candidate with zero chance of anything other than turning up in this MyRye.com article.
