The Rye Girls Varsity Field Hockey Team continued their triumphant season in a 6-0 victory against Sleepy Hollow on Thursday evening at Nugent. After this home game, the team has tallied five wins and only one loss.

All the players brought their best, and the win was a testament to their team chemistry and collaboration. “Team was clicking… Everyone contributed,” said proud Assistant Coach Theresa Jelalian in her postgame report.

Caroline Doyle continued her torrent pace to start the season, scoring a hat trick to account for three of the team’s goals. Kaitlyn Coyne also scored twice for her first two career Varsity goals.

The Garnets (5-1) get the weekend off before hosting their next game on Monday, September 23. The contest is set for 5:00pm at Nugent Stadium. Watch it here. Watch a recorded livestream of the Sleepy Hollow game here.
