Rocco D. Caruso passed away surrounded by family on August 16, 2025. He was born in the Bronx on December 13, 1977, to Domenick W. and Marilyn J. Caruso. He was a resident of Rye for ten years and shared his life with his loving wife and family.Rocco devoted 25 years to his profession as an electrician and was a proud member of Local Union 3.
On August 31, 2012, Rocco married Panagiota Katsalis. Together, they raised their daughter, Maria Lynn Caruso. Rocco is survived by his wife, Panagiota A. Katsalis-Caruso, and his daughter, Maria Lynn Caruso. His siblings, Louis, Charles, Joseph, and Susan Michaels, as well as four nieces, one nephew, and one great-nephew, also survive him.
Rocco will be fondly remembered for his heartfelt conversations with his daughter, his passion for cooking, travel, and his fondness for cats. His warmth, laughter, and deep devotion to family and friends will continue to resonate with those who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rocco’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
