The Rye Girls Soccer team drew Harrison 0-0 on Monday, September 15, as their defense kept a potent Huskies attack of the scoreboard. The Garnets have now drawn at nil three times in seven games, and remain without a loss to start the season.

“Clare Nemsick was a rock in the center, leading the back line with strong support from Ella Fleckton and Julia Carballo,” Head Coach Rich Savage said after the game. “In the midfield, Hannah Jachman, Parker Calhoun, and Samantha Yeh controlled the flow of play, while Claire Curran stepped up all over the field with solid contributions in multiple roles.”

Despite missing out on the full three points for a win, the Garnets have to be satisfied with one point and with their defense. Their offense has shown it can break out at any time, but being so difficult to score on means Rye can compete with anyone.

The Garnets (4-0-3) will look to extend their season-opening point streak to eight games in another road contest against Pelham on Friday, September 19. The team will look to defeat the Pelicans for the second time in 2025 at Glover Field at 4:30pm.
