If Section One can schedule duplicate regular season games with playoff rematches, then the OG is enabled to recycle articles and predictions from past missives.
In what will be the 67th renewal of a football series first minted in the 1920s, fellow SWIAC (Southern Westchester Interscholastic Athletic Conference) and CWL (Central Westchester League) charter member, the EASTCHESTER EAGLES, rank second to only Harrison in all-time number of games played versus the Garnet and Black. Rye and the Navy and Scarlet pecked each other for five decades, without a scheduling exception, from 1938 to 1987. Only twice since 1984 have the Eagles soared to victory, and the 2025 playoffs will not be the third. The current Garnets bring the big birds down once again.
The stick-constructed rookery ledger currently stands at 52-12-2 (.813) in Rye’s favor.
