The changing of the guard for Rye City Council will happen at the stoke of midnight as we enter the new year, but the formalities will all take place this Sunday, January 4, 2026 at 11am at Rye City Hall.

The new, complete council (all Democrats with one exception):

  • Josh Nathan, mayor
  • Marion Anderson, council member (new)
  • Amy Kesavan, council member (new)
  • James Ward, councilmember (incumbent, reelected)
  • Jamie Jensen, councilmember (existing)
  • Keith Cunningham, councilmember (existing, the sole Republican)
  • open seat (vacated by Josh Nathan becoming mayor)
