The Rye Hockey team earned their second win and first league victory of the 2026 season on Friday, December 12, as they skated past Clarkstown 4-2. The Garnets flipped the score of their 4-2 loss to Rivertown in their previous game to get into the win column in league play.
The Draddy brothers factored in on every goal for the Garnets, with Ryan scoring the first goal on the power play and the third one, the eventual game-winner. His brother Finn scored short-handed in the second period and assisted on Colin Nigro’s insurance goal in the third. Jamie Morris, Will Molin, Connor Dehmer, and Trevor Dolan all chipped in one assist apiece in a spread-out scoring night.
Fernando Mosquera earned his second win of the season with 11 saves. The Garnets held a comfortable shot advantage in front of him all night, making his life easy for the most part.
Rye (2-1, 1-1 league) has the weekend off before their next game, a fourth straight at home (Playland) against Byram Hills on Wednesday, December 17.
