The Rye Football team faces off against the Brighton Bruins (of Brighton, NY, just outside Rochester), in the New York State Class A championship game. The contest begins at 6:00pm ET on Friday, December 5, and will be played inside the JMA Dome (previously Carrier Dome) in Syracuse, New York.
Fans hoping to watch the game without travelling far have a few options:
1. NFHS Network Stream
The only live, online video stream for the game is courtesy of NFHS Network. The stream will begin shortly before kickoff at 6:00pm and requires an NFHS account to access. The streaming link is attached.
2. Kelly’s Sea Level Watch Party
Similarly to the State semifinals last week, Kelly’s Sea Level will show the games and invite any Rye residents or fans to stop by for food, drinks, and football. Kelly’s is located at 413 Midland Ave, near Rye Recreation and the Port Chester border. Be sure to be early to get the best seat with a view of the action.
3. At-Home Watch Parties
The last viable option is to find a friend or neighbor with an NFHS account and try to organize a private watch party. Last week, this writer’s younger brother invited friends over and cast the game onto a TV, which allowed him and his friends to enjoy the game together without needing more than one NFHS account or fight for the best view at Kelly’s. See if your friends or neighbors are interested in organizing a private watch party on Friday evening.
If the Garnets claim victory over Brighton, they will be crowned New York State champions for the second time in the past three years. This is their final game of the 2025 season regardless of the outcome.
And if you missed it, Rye Guy and NY-16 Congressman George Latimer plugged Garnet football from the floor of the US House of Representatives today:
