Richard Littlejohn, also known as “Ricky” while growing up in Rye, passed on into eternity after a brave and courageous battle with cancer on 1/28/2026. He was 62.
Richard was born on 10/26/1963, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was adopted by his grandparents Richard and Virginia Littlejohn when his mother, their daughter, sadly passed away when he was about 1 years old. He moved to Rye when he was 8 years old to live with his aunt Carol and uncle Peter Norton after their marriage.
He lived in Indian Village in Rye, NY. He attended Rye City Schools and graduated from RHS in 1982.
He attended Quinnipiac college and received a bachelor’s degree in Media & Radio communications.
He worked as a radio engineer following college at the esteemed Westchester radio station WVOX/WVIP.
On 7/9/2016, he married Kathleen Sinacore and they settled into New York City life in Brooklyn.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen, step-daughters Karen and Erica and his uncle Peter. He was predeceased by his aunt Carol. He had no siblings.
A memorial celebration of his wonderful life will be held for Richard at the Rye Presbyterian Church on 3/7/2026 at 11:00am. A reception to follow.
