The Rye Boys Golf team earned their 8th and 9th wins of the 2026 season on April 21-22, outscoring Rye Country Day 193-204 on Tuesday and then Blind Brook 185-198 on Wednesday. The Garnets have now won their first nine matches of the year after collecting victories on consecutive days, as their youthful team continues to impress.

“10th grader Graham Erickson earned two points for us by shooting an even par 36 on the front nine of Apawamis,” Head Coach Pat Romano told MyRye.com after the first victory. “Also, 10th grader Evan Dolan and 9th grader Charlie Molloy won their close matches, pushing us over the top.”

Rye shot well with their 193 on the front half of the back-to-back, but improved that even more the following day, getting down to 185. The Garnets took advantage of home-course advantage, especially Ryan Mascali, who carded a two-under score of 33. Molloy and Erickson played well again, scoring a 36 and 37 respectively.

Rye improves to a school-best 9-0 record and will look to make it a perfect ten in a row in their next match.
