The City of Rye will hold its annual September 11th Commemoration Ceremony on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. This year marks 25 years since the day that forever altered the City of Rye, the United States, and the world.
An agenda for the day has not yet been released but typically after a blessing by a local clergy member there are remarks by a series of public officials from the city, county, state, and federal levels.
A Rye fire department firefighter typically reads the names of those from Rye lost. And you can bet good money that Robin Latimer, Rye resident Rye and wife of Congressman George Latimer, will sing God Bless America.
