Welcome to MyRye.com’s explainer series: who we are, what we do, why we do it and how we do it.
And we can already tell you when and where we do it. It’s every day, 365 days a year. And it is on this website and in our daily newsletter at 9:00 a.m. every morning (sign-up – it’s FREE).
Every morning, thousands of people turn to MyRye.com to find out what’s happening in our community.
But who’s behind MyRye.com?
We thought it was time to introduce ourselves.
We’re your neighbors.
Our staff and contributors live here, work here, raise families here, shop on Purchase Street, sit in the stands at Garnet games, walk the trails at the Marshlands and Edith Read, and care deeply about what happens in Rye.
And every week, we’re out covering the stories that matter to this community — from City Hall and our schools to local businesses, sports, development, people, events and the issues shaping Rye’s future.

You
Many residents have made one-time and ongoing contributions to MyRye.com. If you love our community and want to discuss how you can be of service, please get in touch.
We won’t always get everything right. And you won’t always agree with everything you read.
But you should always know who is doing the work.
We believe local news is strongest when the people producing it are part of the community they cover — and when readers know they can reach us with a question, a correction, a story idea or simply something they think their neighbors should know about.
Thanks for reading — and please say hello when you see us around town.
MyRye.com. Your News. Always Local.
MyRye.com exists so people connected to Rye receive local news that provides appreciation, insight and utility, and holds the City accountable to be its best self.
