Donate Your Old Bikes to Linking Handlebars
GIVING FRIDAY IS AN OCCASIONAL FEATURE OF MYRYE.COM HIGHLIGHTING LOCAL GROUPS DOING GOOD IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. IF YOU HAVE A RECOMMENDATION ON WHO WE SHOULD HIGHLIGHT, PLEASE TELL US!
Linking Handlebars wants your used bikes.
You know–the ones that are in fine shape, sitting in your garage. You have outgrown them, and instead of having them sit and rust, Linking Handlebars will refurbish the bikes and make them available to local kids in need.
The group is looking to refurbish 300 bikes this year, adding to the 1,652 bicycles they have already provided to kids in need.
If you have bikes to donate email the group at [email protected] for drop-off details.
Linking Handlebars Inc. (LH) is a not-for-profit organization in Rye started by high school students and run by Lucia Villani, Cristiana Villani, Luca Villani, Lila Capparelli, and Sophie Molitor. The group's mission is to provide the simple privileges of healthier lifestyle, enjoyment of the outdoors and easy transportation to the less fortunate children in our local area by supplying them with bikes.
Need community service hours? Help LH clean and refurbish bikes every Tuesday, 7:00-9:00pm. Pizza is included. Again, email LH at [email protected] for details.
