Rye Girls Varsity Basketball team Southern Westchester Group 2 Regional Champion 2021

Rye Girls Varsity Basketball is the Southern Westchester Group 2 Regional Champion.

The team capped their winning season with a 59-57 nail-biter of a win at Byram Hills on Saturday. “I am so proud of these girls for stepping up to win the sectional championship game,” said Rye Girls Varsity Basketball Coach Margo Hackett. “This group really deserves this!”

Scoring highlights included Amanda Latkany with 14 points, Mara Ball with 13 points, and Ava Greto with 12 points. The season record is complete at 12-2.
