Nathan Edges Seitz by 18 Votes, Henderson and Incumbents Take Seats

The unofficial tally of election results are in from Tuesday’s off year election.

The one photo finish shows Josh Nathan (Dem) has won the one (1) available partial, two-year term to fill Pam Tarlow’s council seat by only 18 votes over Jana Seitz (GOP). Bill Henderson (GOP) won comfortably over Lisa Tannenbaum (Dem) for one of the three (3) available full, four-year terms on council, joining incumbents Souza and Stacks who took their seats again by large margin.

“I wish Bill Henderson the best,” said Candidate Lisa Tannenbaum in the very early hours of Wednesday morning. “We have huge challenges ahead, we have to overcome our ever-worsening flooding, curtail environmentally damaging development and tree destruction plus find ways to help our treasured nonprofit organizations achieve financial security. I will continue to advocate for these priorities.” Comments from other candidates have yet to come in.

Mayor Josh Cohn, who ran (essentially) unopposed, garnered 84% of the vote. Danielle Tagger-Epstein who challenged Cohn in the primaries and remained on the Working Families line, took the remaining 14%.

On the County level, as previously reported, Rye guy and County boss George Latimer has already declared victory. He ended with a commanding 62% of the vote. Local and County Legislator Catherine Parker was running unopposed.
