Joseph P. Brancato

Joseph Brancato was born on February 24, 1926, to Antoinette Suraci, aged 27, and Joseph Brancato, aged 33. He had three sisters named Theresa, Anna, and Rose. The family resided at 8 Summit Avenue in Rye and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Joseph attended Rye High School, where he actively participated in the school band and graduated as part of the Class of 1943.

On April 23, 1944, Joseph enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He held the rank of private and was stationed in Germany. While in combat, he sustained injuries and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Joseph was honorably discharged from the military on December 5, 1945. Following the war, he dedicated 30 years of his career to Premiere Microwave Corp., a military contractor located in Port Chester. He held the position of senior quality-control technician before retiring.

Throughout his life, Joseph remained a faithful member of the Resurrection Church of Rye. He nurtured an interest in aviation and model aircraft. Moreover, he was known for his love of animals and took care of stray animals in his neighborhood, ensuring they were fed and looked after.

Joseph N. Brancato, a quality-control technician at a manufacturing company in Port Chester, passed away on October 14, 1992, at the age of 66, in Rye. At the time of his death, he was survived by his three sisters: Theresa Caridi and Ann Tremblay, both residing in Rye, and Rose Torok of Hillsborough, N.C. Additionally, he was mourned by ten nieces and nephews.
