In Memory: Orial Anne Redd, Age 100

Orial Anne ReddOrial Anne (Banks) Redd, 100, of Narragansett, RI, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024. She was previously married to the late M. Paul Redd.

Born in Port Chester, NY and raised in Rye, NY, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Ethel Marie (Griffin) Banks.
Mrs. Redd and her husband Paul won a landmark housing discrimination case in 1962 and appeared in the “William Kunstler: Disturbing the Universe” film in 2009. The Redds were also publishers of the Westchester County Press newspaper.
Mrs. Redd worked as County Ambassador to Japan, and Deputy County Executive of Westchester County, NY before retiring.
She leaves her son, M Paul Redd, Jr. (Nancy) of Narragansett, RI., a niece, Ethlouise Banks (Noel), and nephews Howard Banks and Wayne Banks. She was the mother of the late Paula Anne Redd Rollins; and sister of the late Robert and William Banks.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 1:00pm – 2:00pm at Graham Funeral Home, 1036 Boston Post Road, Rye, NY. This will be followed by a Memorial Service starting at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders or Meals On Wheels.
