The Osborn Community held a special on campus Alzheimer’s Walk this past Tuesday, October 1, 2024 in advance of the Hudson Valley Alzheimer’s Walk on Sunday, October 6, 2024. “This Walk has a special significance at our senior living community, where so many people and their loved ones are impacted by this devastating disease,” The Osborn said in a statement.

The Alzheimer’s walk on The Osborn campus was a specially designed route that allowed people of all ages and abilities to participate. This included transportation on an Osborn bus for those that wanted to participate but did not want to walk the route. Matthew Anderson, president and CEO of The Osborn and David Sobel, executive director of the Alzheimer’s Association were present for remarks along with Osborn resident Jill Haskel. All walkers were treated to lunch provided by the Wanna Empanada food truck.

To date, The Osborn community has raised over $9,000 in the battle against Alzheimer’s.
