If you have something to say about the future of Rye Playland you should attend the "Playland Forum" this Monday, January 10th at 7:30 PM in the Rye City Hall Council Room. And, of course, MyRye.com readers should post their thoughts as a comment below.
In response to Westchester County's RFP for Playland, the City of Rye's Playland Strategic Planning Group would like to hear from you:
- What improvements would you like to see for the amusement park, i.e. better dining, a waterpark added, additional entertainment, a hotel or retail shop?
- What is good for Rye?
- What ideas should or should not be considered?
City of Rye's Playland Strategic Planning Group was established last summer by the city council and is chaired by Charles Dorn of Grace Church Street.
At the meeting, "Sustainable Playland", a recently incorporated group of local residents, will be making a short presentation on the direction of their bid for Playland.
