The City of Rye is warning residents for watch for heavy rain, winds and possible flooding on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. The National Weather Service is warning of wind gusts of up to 50 MPH and recommends securing outdoor furniture.
The City said “Residents are advised to prepare for potential flooding as rainfall is forecasted for today. Areas typically prone to flooding and flash flooding may be impacted.” It is warning of 2-3 inches of rain, possible localized higher amounts with the heaviest rai expected Wednesday afternoon and early evening.
