SPRYE, the local non-profit dedicated to helping seniors stay confidently in their homes, has a new executive director. Brenda Moynihan began her new role at the nonprofit last week. She replaces Marie Johnson who ran the organization for the last eight years. The board looked at over 40 applicants and five finalists before selecting Moynihan.

Moynihan has worked for over 20 years in senior living, healthcare marketing and community engagement. Most recently, she was director of marketing and community outreach at The Kensington in White Plains. While there, she hosted Coffee and Conversations, featuring discussions on aging and care, on WVOX, a former radio station in New Rochelle. In addition to her new SPRYE position, she is the owner of Aging Adult Transitions, a consulting firm dedicated to finding suitable arrangements and options for seniors. Moynihan resides in Yonkers with her cat, Scarlett. SPRYE serves the communities of Rye, Rye Brook, Port Chester and Harrison, with offices in Port Chester.
