Certain City of Rye offices will be working remotely for the month of March due to a long awaited HVAC modernization project taking place on the lower level of City Hall. The City’s Building & Planning Department and the Assessor’s Office will temporarily operate remotely beginning Thursday, March 5, 2026, due to demolition and construction activities. The work is expected to  last the month of March.

During this period the City is encouraging residents, contractors, and professionals to submit applications, documents, and other materials electronically. For those unable to submit materials digitally, non-electronic submissions may be delivered to the City Clerk’s Office located on the second floor of City Hall, where staff will ensure materials are routed appropriately.

“We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation while this work is underway and will continue to provide updates as the City Hall HVAC project progresses,” said City Manager Brian Shea.
