The weather forecast for this Sunday has caused the Rye Chamber of Commerce to cancel Mistletoe Magic, the event where Purchase Street becomes a pedestrian only plaza, filled with activities, crafts, games, and performers.
In an announcement Friday morning, the Chamber said “We’re sorry to announce that we are going to have to cancel Mistletoe Magic this year due to the weather forecast on Sunday 11/27. Unfortunately, there isn’t an option to reschedule for a different weekend this time of year.”
The current forecast calls for a 93% chance of rain on Sunday, with 1/2 inch expected along with 10-15 mph winds.
