On Wednesday, July 17th, the City of Rye will close a portion of the Highland Road parking lot and part of Car Park 4 for an Apple Studios film shoot. The film, which is called Swipe, will occupy the lots from 7 AM to 7 PM.

The closed locations include 35 spaces in the northeast section of Car Park 4 adjacent to School Street, as well as 4 spaces directly in front of the Sunshine Coffee Roasters coffee shop on Purdy Avenue and 4 spots on the west side of the coffee shop. Other businesses adjacent to the film shoot are Playa Bowls and Rye Metro Nails. Officers from the Rye Police Department will present to monitor traffic flow in the affected area.

This is the second time Apple Studios has filmed in Rye this year. As MyRye reported in the spring, the City of Rye closed part of downtown in early May to film for a new Apple TV+ series Your Friends and Neighbors, starring Jon Hamm.
