The $113 million Rye City School District budget passed with a wide margin but a light voter turnout. The two open trustee spots on the Board of Education went to the two candidates – current Board of Education President Jane Anderson and Vice President Jennifer Boyle.

On the school budget, ‘Yes’ received 83% of the votes (765 of 923 votes) and ‘No’ 17% (158 of 923 votes). The total votes reflect an exceptionally low voter turnout. According to the District, there are 11,121 registered voters eligible so the vote count represents just an 8.3% turnout.

Current Board of Education President Jane Anderson received 793 votes of 86% of the 923 votes cast and Vice President Jennifer Boyle received 810 votes or 88% of the 923 votes cast.
