Anthony Francis Storino, passed away peacefully at home, in Rye, NY, on April 5, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on March 24,1935, in New Rochelle, New York, Anthony was the beloved son of Joseph and Mary (Bruno) Storino. He was predeceased by his parents and by his sister, Camille Marzelli.Anthony graduated from Stepinac High School, Class of 1953, and later attended Manhattan College, where he earned his Drafting Degree. He began his professional life at Ramp Associates, in Long Island, NY, as a draftsman and later served as a project manager for Marlo Associates in Stamford, Connecticut.
On June 8, 1958, Anthony married the love of his life, Diana (Tranquillo), and together they built a beautiful family. They moved from New Rochelle, NY to Rye, NY in 1964, where they raised three children: Lisa (Craig) Gironda of Norwalk, Connecticut, Karen Iverson of Mamaroneck, New York, and Anthony (Laurie) Storino of Madison, Connecticut.
He was also a devoted grandfather to seven grandchildren, Michelle and Kevin Gironda, Danielle and Bobby Iverson, and Alyssa, Ashley, and Anna Storino.
He loved fishing and was well known by the nickname “Tony Bluefish”. He was an avid artist who loved painting and was also very proud of his vegetable garden that he planted every summer. In addition to his personal interests, Anthony was a member of Rye Seniors, where he made many friends and participated in many activities.
He will be sorely missed by friends, neighbors and especially his family. We want to thank his wonderful caregivers, Joan and Kelia, for their gentle and loving dedication.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Resurrection, 910 Boston Post Road, Rye, on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
