Rye High Rowing Scores Silvers at Scholastic Nationals in Ohio

Rye High School Crew continued their medal-winning 2016 season at the Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championship Regatta in Nashport, Ohio over the Memorial Day weekend. The success is a follow-on to the team's recent wins in NY State.

* The Rye Women's Lightweight 4+ of coxswain Lily McLoughlin, and rowers Abby Foresman, Nola Storey, Shoshi Daniels, Erica Kinstel, finished 6th in their event.

* The Men's Lightweight 8+ of coxswain Blake McGowan, and rowers Arthur Burke, Teddy Clark, Andy Gomez, Alex Farres-Centano, Troy Gilman, Ethan Fogarty, Hall Luthringer, Victor Gomez, came in 9th.

The Men's Lightweight 4+ face one final test in their remarkable season at the US Rowing Youth Championships in West Windsor, NJ, June 9-13. This is the premier competition in youth rowing and includes rowing clubs in addition to schools.
