Usually it's snow… today it's heat. Rye Schools are closing the Middle and Elementary Schools early on Monday due to the heat wave, details below.

Dear RCSD Parents and Guardians,
I am sorry to interrupt your Sunday evening. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for tomorrow, Monday, June 18. The heat index is predicted to be around 100 degrees. As a result, all Rye City elementary schools and Rye Middle School will have an early dismissal. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM.
Final exams at Rye High School will proceed as scheduled. All RHS students are asked to report to the gymnasium prior to afternoon exams. Middle School math final exams will be rescheduled as needed.
