Rye Girls Varsity Soccer sent Eastchester back west on Wednesday, winning 3-1 at home.

“After Rye’s overtime tie in their first match with Eastchester, Rye’s plan was to come out strong and attack hard,” said Rye Girls Varsity Soccer Coach Rich Savage. “After a solid warm up, Rye quickly moved the ball around the field, creating many scoring opportunities.”

Rye’s Annabelle Thomas was able find the back of the net in the 8th minute of the first half after a perfect cross from Hannah Bertisch. Shortly thereafter on a corner, Reilly trainer netted the second goal of a left footed shot.

During the second half, Eastchester came out strong, but Rye’s defense held tough with Reilly and Isabel Harvey holding the back line. Eastchester’s Emily Forzaglia finished with a one touch shot from Jenna LaBarca. Within the next two minutes, Rye came back and Maddy Walsh made a perfect cross to Hannah Bertisch who finished with a side netted shot.

Bell Jackson recorded 5 saves for the win. Watch the replay.

Rye will travel to Mamaroneck on Friday at 4:30pm to take on the undefeated AA squad at 4:15pm. Watch it streaming live.
