Rye Girls Varsity Tennis placed Pelham in the hutch on Thursday. The team won the away match 6-1.
“Already up by a set, the doubles pair of Senior Drew Burnham and freshmen Charlotte Lorraine stormed back from down 3-0 in the second to win 6 straight games and close out their match 6-2,6-3,” said Rye Girls Varsity Tennis Coach Anthony Campbell.
Abby Davies and Ryan Wade had a second straight strong showing in doubles winning 6-2,6-1. New doubles team of Morgan Delizia and Cassidy Pagen looked very comfortable in their win 6-1,6-0. All three singles players Charlotte Ausfahl, Juliette Stone and Dylin Pizzutello have yet to drop a match.
The team’s season improved to 3-0. Varsity plays Harrison Friday afternoon at 4:30pm.
