Residents enjoyed the warm weather and clear skies to watch the Memorial Day parade down Purchase Street on Monday morning and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for each of us.
Organized by the American Legion Post 128, parade marchers included the Legion, local elected officials, boys and girls Scout groups, boys baseball and girls softball groups. Marchers gathered at the train station around 8:30am, and the parade set off at 9:30am. Marching down Purchase Street, the parade concluded at the Village Green where there was a full Memorial Day ceremony.
