Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse clawed the Nyack Redhawks on Thursday 12 – 11, returning across I-287 victorious in its final regular season game.
“The Garnets played outstanding today in our final regular season game of the 2023 season!,” said Rye Girls Varsity Lacrosse Coach Michelle Mason. “We were so solid on our defensive end, making critical stops in critical moments of an intense, back-and-forth game. Karenna Chader had 8 saves, stepping up huge between the pipes. Our midfielders were tremendous in their, setting the tone for our play. The offensive unit capitalized on important possessions and held the ball to run out the clock and secure the victory. With 5-0 league record, the Garnets win our League and now awake seeding tomorrow for sectionals!”
The regular season stands at 12 – 4. First round of post season starts on next Wednesday.
